What's new in Courchevel ski resort?

Every year, the Courchevel resort continues to offer innovative new services to its holidaymakers.

Its guiding principles are discovery, challenging activities, comfortable accommodation and modern infrastructure.

At Courchevel, "boredom" is not a concept we're familiar with. That's why we've decided to take you on a little trip to show you what's new this winter at Courchevel!

The expansion of FREELAB

Calling all freeride and off-piste enthusiasts: Courchevel resort invites you to discover the secure freeride area where a new DVA Park has recently been set up. It is located at the foot of the two secure but ungroomed Freeride Lab slopes. To reach this spot, you will have to make the journey on foot or by cross-country skiing. The journey to the top takes an average of 20 minutes. The special feature of the new DVA Park is its magical weightless descent into the powder snow... This is a fantastic place to practise searching for avalanche victims. All you have to do is bring your equipment, and then you can set off to explore the beacons buried in the snow. The aim of this training is to enable you to learn how to save lives, through the use of safe and well-supervised exercises.

    The mythical Eclipse piste

The Eclipse is one of the biggest new features of the 3 Vallées ski area this winter. This is a new black piste that you will be able to preview in December. This piste, created for the 2023 Alpine Skiing World Cup, offers a breathtaking 3,200-metre descent. It is already considered by many professional skiers to be one of the most demanding in the world due to its route.

The Eclipse is for skiers looking for a sensational route with an average gradient of 30%. Amateurs, be warned...

A break for a photo at the summit of La Saulire

Among the new activities recently launched at Courchevel resort, you will find the unmissable photo you can take at the summit of La Saulire. This must-see spot is equipped with a huge wooden module that serves as a photo frame providing a beautiful backdrop to the surrounding peaks. There's no better way to update your Instagram account! All poses are allowed, ranging from the simplest to the craziest! #altitudecourchevel

You can also take advantage of a trip to La Saulire to discover the new orientation table located at the top of the Pas du Lac cable car. Take the opportunity to remind yourself of the names of the surrounding peaks. The view is breathtaking!
